One area of the ACCV
program is called "A Brighter Tomorrow" it works with
individuals and families to break the poverty cycle using education and
support. While education is
our primary focus, 'support' can take many forms; food, medicines,
housing.... Whatever is necessary to turn things around.
We work with a number of families, and like families all over the world, they
come in all different shapes and sizes. Little Tuan & his grandmother, Thao,
her mother & aunt, Cong & his mother, the Pham siblings. Many of the
families we help have been fractured in one way or another. Parents have died, absconded, become ill, incarcerated, sometimes all of the above...
Our ultimate
goal and focus is to help people to help themselves.
